The requirement
The Laikipia Conservancies Association requested help in boosting their government engagement at regional and local level. The charity also needed a strong public profile to help them demonstrate the value they bring to local communities and wildlife in Kenya.
The results
Through new engagement with local journalists, media training for spokespersons, and other workshops on social media, crisis communication and reputation management, we raised their brand voice and measurably heightened awareness of the role of LCA in northern Kenya. LCA gained more attention from mainstream news providers, an increase of over 300%. We also helped the organisation's leaders to meet with relevant members of national and local government. As a result, LCA was involved in creation of the County Tourism and conservation plan where their views were captured and included in the 2022 to 2025 local government action plan.
